Hamilton Row

Project Description

The Hamilton Row Apartments are a contemporary addition to the vibrant urban landscape of its northeast neighborhood in Baltimore. Comprising three buildings and featuring 42 spacious, open, modern garden apartments, this complex is a testament to the fusion of contemporary design with traditional architecture.

The buildings’ form and massing take inspiration from the surrounding two-story pitch-roofed houses. However, they have been thoughtfully reimagined in a modern language that harmonizes with their context while making a bold statement. The result is a dynamic interplay of forms, textures, and materials that celebrate the rich heritage of the area while embracing a progressive vision.

Located in the heart of the city, the Hamilton Row Apartments consist of three buildings that are arranged around a central green space and a submerged gravel wetland. This unique design not only creates a tranquil and picturesque setting for residents but also promotes sustainable living and helps to mitigate stormwater runoff.

Each apartment features tall ceilings and large windows that allow natural light to flood the interior, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The open floor plan is perfect for entertaining guests, while the high-end finishes and fixtures provide a touch of sophistication and elegance. The in-unit washer and dryer and dedicated parking space for each unit add to the convenience and comfort of living at Hamilton Row.

But what truly sets the Hamilton Row Apartments apart is its commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness. The submerged gravel wetland helps to filter and absorb stormwater runoff, while the complex’s energy-efficient appliances and sustainable building materials reduce energy consumption and minimize the carbon footprint.
