Federal Hill Townhouse 2

Project Description

The owners of this Federal Hill row home wanted to modernize and expand it while also designing it to allow them to age in-place. We gutted the existing house, dug out the basement, added an expansive master suite, a garage with second floor screened porch and urban garden, and an elevator.

The triangular discoloration of the brick at the front of the house is an indication that the facade of this house (as was typical for the period it was built in the 1850s) was originally two-and-a-half stories. In the late 1800s the facade was extended to a full three stories and the classical front cornice was added.
